Managing Sent Messages

How can I save sent messages to a specific folder?

By default, messages you send from the Webmail are saved in the "Sent" folder. If you would like to save them to a specific folder depending on the recipient address (or other criteria), you can use the "Default BCC" setting in Webmail:Preferences in combination with filter rules in Manager:Filter.

Example

Let's say your folder name is FRIENDS and your Runbox user name MARC (your address is : MARC@RUNBOX.COM). In the Preferences for the FRIENDS folder set "Default BCC" to USERNAME+FOLDER_FRIENDS@RUNBOX.COM (in this case: MARC+FRIENDS@RUNBOX.COM). Since you are sending yourself a copy of the message you could set "Save sent messages" to NO.

Create a filter that tests the header for USERNAME+FOLDER_FRIENDS@RUNBOX.COM (in our example : MARC+FRIENDS@RUNBOX.COM) and move it to the FRIENDS folder. Note that the filter is case sensitive (CAPS are used only for clarity here).

Now every time you compose or reply from the FRIENDS folder you will send yourself a copy and it will be moved to the FRIENDS folder.
