Eudora
To set up Eudora with Runbox Mail Manager, follow the step-by-step instructions below. Please note that the setup process and dialog boxes on your computer may vary from what is shown here, depending on what operating system and version of Eudora you are using (these instructions apply to Eudora 4.3.2 on a Windows 2000 platform).
1. Start Eudora using for instance the Start menu. Click Tools in the toolbar at the top of your screen, and select Personalities (if you have no previously registered email accounts, jump to step 2). Right-click the Dominant account, and select New from the pop-up menu.
2. Make sure Create a brand new email account is selected, and click Next.
3. Enter an easy-to-remember name for the new account, like "runbox".
4. Enter your name as you want it to appear on all your outgoing email messages.
5. Enter your runbox email address, consisting of your runbox username and the runbox domain name, in this format:
username@runboxANTISPAM.com.
6. Enter your runbox username. You will be asked for your runbox password the when you check for new email with this account (to make Eudora save and remember your password, click Tools in the toolbar, select Options, and click Checking Mail when you're done setting up this account). If you have lost or forgotten your password, please see the Login section for information on how to contact us and retrieve it.
7. Enter pop.runbox.com in the Incoming Server field. Make sure
POP is selected as server type.
8. Enter smtp.runbox.com in the Outgoing Server field. You need to leave the Allow authentication box checked (which is the default setting for Eudora).
NOTE: If you are using Mac OS, please go
here to upgrade your copy of Eudora to work with our
SMTP authentication.
9. Click Finish to save your settings.
10. You have now successfully set up Eudora to retrieve email from runbox, and the new account will appear in the Personalities window as "runbox" (the name you entered in step 3).
The set up of Eudora with Runbox Mail Manager is complete. If you later want to change the information you entered, right-click the runbox account and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
