With Runbox Email Hosting you can manage email for a domain you already own, within your Runbox account.
This means that you can have email sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
arrive directly in your Runbox account. Then you can set up Runbox to appear as sending from email@example.com, while taking advantage of Runbox's management features.
To get started you need a Runbox account with at least one email domain included, and set up your domain with Runbox as described in step #1 below. If you've already set up a domain or domain account, skip to step #2.
- Go to Account:Email Hosting Administration and enter a domain name you already own or administer.
See Email Hosting Setup for detailed instructions.
- Change the DNS (Domain Name System) settings for your domain. In your domain host service, change the MX record to point to mx.runbox.com. From now on, all email sent to addresses on your domain will be directed to the Runbox servers.
See Domain Setup Information for setup instructions for several well-known DNS hosting services.
To improve the legitimacy of messages you send from your domain at Runbox, you can add an SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record to your DNS.
Runbox provides web and domain hosting as well, with professional cPanel control panel functionality, application hosting, content management systems, wikis, blogs, ecommerce solutions, and much more. Please see Runbox Web Hosting
for more information.
